DOBA Publishing

The publishing activities of DOBA University of Applied Sciences are closely connected with its online study model. The online publishing house is modern, digitally oriented, and primarily intended to support online learning and the publication of research results, with a central role given to e-learning materials and an open-access scientific journal.

The main objective of DOBA Publishing is to support the pedagogical process, scientific research work, and the dissemination of knowledge within the professional field. Its fundamental mission is to present the scientific and professional achievements of DOBA’s higher education teachers and researchers, as well as other authors who are in any way connected with DOBA.

Publishing activities are therefore primarily functional — serving students, lecturers, and researchers, rather than traditional commercial publishing.

DOBA Publishing issues:

• Study materials, including textbooks and course materials for individual subjects, usually in electronic form and accessible to students in the online learning environment.
• Scientific monographs, professional monographs, and conference proceedings, presenting research results intended for the wider professional and academic community.
• The journal Mednarodno inovativno poslovanje  = Journal of Innovative Business and Management, published since 2009.

As an open-access publisher, DOBA Publishing actively contributes to the accessibility of knowledge and the academic community, thereby supporting the principles of open science in research activities.

All published monographs and the e-journal are also available to users through COBISS PLUS and the Open Journal Systems, an open-source system for editing and publishing digital materials developed and freely available by the Public Knowledge Project.
