Informatics and Management – NEW 2026!

On 20 November 2025, the National Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NAKVIS) accredited the new professionally oriented higher education programme Informatics and Management, which we will launch at DOBA University of Applied Sciences in the 2026/2027 academic year.

Today, informatics is a cornerstone of how organisations and society function: from data analytics and process automation to the operation of artificial intelligence, the development of digital solutions and new business models. The world needs professionals who understand technology and management – people who can lead digital transformation and provide strategic direction to companies in a rapidly changing environment.

The Informatics and Management study programme is designed precisely for this challenge. It is an interdisciplinary, professionally oriented undergraduate higher education programme that combines informatics, artificial intelligence, digital strategies, management and business into a coherent, practical and modern whole. The programme is grounded in national and European strategic guidelines for digital development and enables students to systematically build their knowledge and competences. From a foundational understanding of information systems, business and management in the first year, to advanced content in artificial intelligence, cyber security, databases, project management, digital agility and ethics in the digital environment in the later stages of study.
