Spring Activities of the "Four Seasons of Solidarity" 2026

At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we believe that small actions create great change. Through the 'Four Seasons of Solidarity' project, we have for many years been bringing together compassion, responsibility and the desire to help those who need it most. This spring was no exception – it brought new opportunities for charity, cooperation and community support.

Once again this year, we proudly came together and, through concrete actions, helped both people and animals, while supporting organisations whose dedicated work changes the world for the better every day.

Donation to the 'Doživljajsko igrišče Maribor'
At the Doživljajsko igrišče Maribor (Maribor Adventure Playground), the concept of playwork enables children to enjoy creative and active play in a safe environment. This year, we once again purchased sand for their sandpit and other necessary materials for outdoor play, especially for creative activities in the woodwork corner. This time, the sandpit will be completely renovated, so the sand will be especially useful.

Donation to the Maribor Animal Shelter
As we did last year, this year we once again supported the Maribor Animal Shelter in organising a raffle to mark World Stray Animals Day. The funds raised will be used in full for the care and wellbeing of abandoned animals.

Donation to 'Društvo UP-ornik'
Through its dedication and compassion, the 'Društvo UP-ornik' (UP-ornik Association) stands by the most vulnerable individuals every day and helps them preserve their dignity in the most difficult moments. Our donation will be used for food vouchers and to cover basic living costs – heating, electricity and water.

Donation to 'Društvo AniMa'
This spring, for the second year in a row, we also supported the 'AniMa Animal Welfare Association', where volunteers with many years of experience help animals in Slovenia and beyond. Their work includes raising awareness of responsible animal care, rescuing animals from unsuitable conditions, and encouraging sterilisation and castration. The donated funds were used to cover the costs of veterinary services and animal food incurred between December 2025 and January 2026.

We are sincerely grateful to all the organisations for their dedicated and compassionate work, and to all colleagues who, through their willingness to help, co-create our story of solidarity.

May the energy of spring inspire us to spread kindness throughout the year – through actions that matter and leave a lasting mark. Together, we prove that through cooperation we can create real change.
