At this year’s KIK Conference, which will take place on 1 April 2026 at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, two representatives of the DOBA University of Applied Sciences community will also take part in the professional section – Dr Miha Lavrič, Associate Professor at DOBA University of Applied Sciences, and Katarina Prelesnik, a graduate of DOBA University of Applied Sciences and Communications Specialist at ELES.
In their contribution entitled “Kaj se v resnici spreminja z umetno inteligenco – in kaj ostaja radikalno človeško?” (What Is Really Changing with Artificial Intelligence – and What Remains Radically Human?), they will open a discussion on the role of humans in a time of rapid artificial intelligence development. Organisations today no longer need only people who master digital tools, but individuals who are able to rapidly develop digital competences, critically assess the functioning of algorithms, and build relationships where technology cannot replace the human factor.
The lecture will offer a brief yet clear insight into what kind of professional the modern working environment requires – and what role the modern educational process plays in this. The event is given additional significance by the joint participation of a professor and a graduate, who together represent the connection between academic knowledge and practice.
Their lecture will take place within the professional section between 11:00 and 11:15.
At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we are proud that our professors and graduates actively participate in professional discussions on the future of work, education and the digital society.
