DOBA Supports the Pomurje Animal Protection Association

As part of our Four Seasons of Solidarity campaign at DOBA, we donated funds to Društvo za zaščito živali Pomurja (Pomurje Animal Protection Association). The donation was accepted by the head of the association, Ms Trezika Cvetko.

The association dedicates most of its time and work to helping cats – primarily by catching them and transporting them to veterinary clinics for sterilisation and castration. They also help cover the costs, as older carers in particular are often unable to cover them themselves. They respond to reports of abandoned and neglected animals and, in cases where help is refused, forward the information to the veterinary inspectorate. They look for new homes for abandoned cats, or for animals whose carers have passed away or moved into a care home. They care for injured and sick animals, including by paying for various operations, and provide food for more than 280 free-roaming cats, as it is almost impossible to find new homes for adult and timid cats.

This time, DOBA contributed several packages of cat food, helping to fill cats’ stomachs. We are pleased to be able to support organisations that, through their work, strive every day for a better tomorrow for animals.
