On Wednesday, 26 November 2025, the TEND Day took place, an event dedicated to sharing practices and trends in the fields of information security, artificial intelligence and data management. Our colleague Matjaž Potočnik, Head of IT at DOBA University of Applied Sciences, took part in the event, as a guest on the panel discussion.
The panel discussion was moderated by the Director of TEND, Aleš Polajnko, and he was joined by representatives of partner companies: Boštjan Kolar from Cetis, Boštjan Zver from Vodovod sistema B, Vida Lipovnik Bosiljevac from Vaše zdravje and Črtomir Donik from IMT. Together they discussed key cyber security challenges in different sectors, the possibilities of using AI, and how IT partners can better support organisations in achieving their goals.
In the discussion, Potočnik presented the perspective of DOBA University of Applied Sciences. We pay a great deal of attention to cyber security, regularly provide training, strengthen cyber resilience and follow the requirements and recommendations of the NIS2 strategy. “We see great potential in artificial intelligence – we are already using it in both the business and teaching aspects of our work, and at the same time we have ambitious plans to integrate it into even more processes.”
Taking part in the event was an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experience between organisations and for reinforcing the understanding that cyber resilience and advanced use of AI are key to building a safer and more innovative digital environment.
