A Heartfelt End to Our December Charity Campaign

At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, through the “Four Seasons” project, we support those who need it most throughout the year. This year, we have already supported organisations Zveza prijateljev mladine Maribor, Mladinski dom Maribor, projekt Botrstvo, Zavod Igrišče, Zavetišče za živali Maribor, Društvo UP-ornik, Društvo AniMa and others.

In December, we once again carried out the traditional charity campaign and, with small gifts, tried to brighten the festive days of children from the Materinski dom (eng. Mother and Child Home) and the Svetovalnica za žrtve nasilja in zlorab Maribor (eng. Counselling Centre for Victims of Violence and Abuse Maribor). Throughout December, we filled a large collection box in the school foyer with new toys and school supplies, which were handed over to the children before the holidays. DOBA also prepared a small surprise for the mothers of these children.

Last Friday, 19 December, the gifts were received by Mirjana Drofenik, Head of Materinski dom, and Mateja Meško Kaiser, a professional staff member at Svetovalnica za žrtve nasilja in zlorab Maribor.

We would like to sincerely thank our students, lecturers, online mentors, staff and friends of DOBA who brought or sent gifts! We believe that this year, we have once again helped to preserve joy and optimism in children’s hearts – at least a little bit. ♡
