Successful Conclusion of the 11th Virtual Summer School

This year, the virtual summer school again boasted international attendance – 151 participants from 40 different countries, from Portugal and Russia to the United Arab Emirates and Brazil.

The ten-day summer school offered participants insight into intercultural communication through online lectures and assignments which they had to complete during the Creative Cross-Cultural Communication course.

10 amazing days of intercultural teamwork, 7 insightful assignments, 4 interactive webinars and 4 expert teachers and tutors.

  • Participants were able to raise their intercultural awareness and understand communication in high context or low context cultures.
  • They facilitated an understanding of different possibilities to communicate and spread ideas.
  • They were creative in preparing analyses and adapt to ways of communication in their own or different culture and situations.

'What an amazing experience I had doing this course. 've never been a person interested in online courses, so I decided to take a shot. Believe when I say that this was the best academic experience I had this year. Everything was well organized, the webinars are spectacular! The teachers are always available to help us and to make sure we are having a great experience.'

Thandi Nguluve, Mozambique

'My expectations were high but they were all met. I’ve learned a lot about the differences between the Eastern and the Western culture. I’ve met many new friends from many different countries. The assignments were all very interesting and clear. The team assignment was the most interesting assignment, but also the most difficult. Learning new people and their different ways of thinking was the best thing about this course. The advantages of this Summer School is most definitely the fact that you can easily combine it with your work and daily life.'
