Teacher at DOBA Business School participated in Erasmus staff mobility for teaching in Macedonia. She was invited to hold lectures to undergraduate students of the Institute of Communication Studies from Skopje.
Her schedule was very interesting and active. She held lectures on the subject of intercultural communication and virtual cooperation and met with the management of the Institute of Communication Studies from Skopje. She also took part in an international panel of experts on communication. “At the panel, I presented communication in an online environment (strengths and weaknesses) from the viewpoint of teachers, students, and tutors,” said the teacher Nataša Ritnja, adding that her mobility will bring new opportunities to her colleagues: “I will put them in touch with colleagues from similar fields working at the host institution. They will be able to arrange joint studies and projects (virtual or conventional), physical mobility, online visiting lectures, and more.”
She has also started making arrangements on how to enrich her course using the network of contacts that she established during her visit to Skopje: “I have arranged a joint virtual project for my course in cooperation with a teacher from the host institution. We will bring together students from both institutions who will be able to participate in nationally mixed teams and prepare joint assignments. This will strengthen their intercultural awareness and enable them to communicate in a foreign language.”
We are convinced that her mobility and the implemented activities in this context contribute to the reputation of DOBA as a reliable partner in the international arena and enrich the study process. The teacher has also recognised personal advantages: “Mobility can be an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth, for gaining new ideas which I can immediately implement in the teaching process and research.”
