DOBA Business School Students Have Started with the WAB International Virtual Mobility Project

On Tuesday, 11 October, a global kick-off meeting of the participants of the WAB – Working Across Borders 2022 international virtual mobility project took place, bringing together participants from 14 institutions, 10 countries and 4 continents. It was attended by over 460 participants, out of the 700 who met the eligibility criteria for taking part in this live multi-cultural experience, which takes place simultaneously in several locations around the world and focuses on the opportunities that sustainable development opens up for the international company KONE, Finland.

Students will work in international teams for this company to prepare recommendations on the implementation of the sustainable development goals and to find answers to one of these three challenges:

  1. How to find the balance between the goal of being physically active and the elevator/escalator business that hinders this and what is the impact on the SDG status in the country?
  1. What business opportunities do you see for KONE in promoting sustainability in the city of the future for different types of users and what is the impact on the SDG status in the country?
  1. How to create an organisational culture of sustainability in different departments (production, HR, finance, etc.) KONE in the selected/target country and what is the impact on the SDG status of this country?

A unique opportunity and added value that, after successful completion of the project, allows students to have a part of their study requirements recognised in selected courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
