Round table: Parenting today – work culture tomorrow

We invite you to a round table

PARENTING TODAY – WORK CULTURE TOMORROW
How permissive parenting shapes a new generation of employees

Thursday, 10 September 2026, 13.00  |  DOBA, K1

The event will be held in Slovenian language.

Generation Z is entering the labour market with different values, expectations, and attitude to work. It grew up in an environment of encouraging individuality and searching for meaning, while today it is facing demands for responsibility, resilience, and persistence.

Are young people really less prepared for challenges – or are organisations still not sufficiently adapted to the new generation?

At the round table, through four perspectives of excellent guests – psychological, research, the experience of young people, and the practice of organisations – we will open a discussion on:

  • the influence of parenting on the development of young people,
  • the expectations of Generation Z regarding work,
  • the challenges upon entering the labour market,
  • and the adaptation of organisations and leadership.

We will focus on questions such as:

  • which competences young people need for a successful start to their career,
  • how organisations should adapt to new generations,
  • and what the role of education is in shaping future employees.

The discussion connects the educational, business, and social space and is intended for everyone who co-creates the development of young people – from parents and educators to leaders and HR experts.

We invite you to participate – registration soon.

The event is public. The organiser reserves the right to photograph and record the event and to use the resulting material for promotional purposes (e.g. on websites, social networks, or in other promotional materials).
