In light of the size of Maribor, the majority of the city centre is accessible on foot (longest distances approximately 30-45 min walk). A map of Maribor with TOP sights for better orientation is available at: https://maribor-pohorje.si/top-maribor-sights.aspx.
Another suitable and affordable way of getting around in Maribor is cycling. The Maribor bicycle network is well developed with clearly marked red cycle lanes. There are also various options for renting a bike, e.g. Tourist Information Centre Maribor, Mobility Centre Maribor.
Marprom is the main operator of intercity lines. The majority of buses drive according to the selected line and are marked with different numbers. Tickets can be bought on the bus (price app. EUR 1.10) or in advance in tobacco shops (price app. EUR 0.8). The closest bus stop to DOBA Business School is “City centre”. Timetables are also available as the “Marprom Vozni Redi” application (in English: Marprom Timetables) on Google Play. Unfortunately, the application is in Slovenian only, but with signs and practice, it is not too difficult to use.
There are various taxi services available 24/7. They are especially noticeable on the weekends when they park close to popular nightlife spots.Print
