DOBA University of Applied Sciences is once again joining the global Working Across Borders 2025 project, which connects more than 600 students from 11 higher education institutions across all continents of the world. The project represents an exceptional opportunity to develop intercultural, digital, and sustainability competencies through collaboration on a real business challenge prepared by Toyota Motor Europe.
This year, 14 students from DOBA University of Applied Sciences are actively participating in the project. Over a period of ten weeks, they will work in international teams to develop innovative and sustainable strategies for optimising Toyota’s European supply chain.
The global challenge was introduced to the students by Steven Pelgrims from Toyota Europe, who emphasised the importance of innovation, sustainability orientation, and intercultural collaboration in achieving Toyota’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
The Working Across Borders project connects academia and global industry, enabling students to co-create solutions for real global challenges of the future through hands-on experience.
“We are proud that our students are taking part in such an important international project, where they will develop ideas for more sustainable mobility and business practices together with peers from around the world,” emphasised Dr Marina Letonja, who leads the project at DOBA University of Applied Sciences.
