Psychological Counselling for Students of DOBA University of Applied Sciences

At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we understand studying holistically – as a process of personal, professional and career development. That is why we offer psychological counseling to our students.

By introducing counselling and coaching activities, we aim to strengthen dialogue with students and actively contribute to their psychological resilience, mental health and overall well-being during their studies. Research and practice show that personal distress, stress and life challenges are among the most common reasons of academic failure.

Support that goes beyond studying

Psychological counselling offers students a safe and confidential space for conversation, reflection, and finding effective solutions. Through professional guidance, awareness and encouragement of personal growth, students can:

  • manage stress and pressure more easily,
  • gain a better understanding of their challenges, strengths and potential,
  • develop self-awareness and psychological resilience,
  • try out new coping and decision-making strategies,
  • improve their effectiveness in academic, personal and professional areas.

The psychological counselling process contributes to greater personal satisfaction, creativity and more effective functioning, which often also results in improved academic performance.

Who is it intended for?

The counselling is intended for students who are facing:

  • challenges related to studying and time management,
  • stress, uncertainty or burnout,
  • difficulties in interpersonal relationships,
  • questions of personal growth, motivation and goals,
  • other life challenges that affect their functioning.
