Knowledge that lasts: Doba Faculty doctoral student recognized for contribution to world award-winning culinary event

By contributing to the organisation of the prestigious culinary event The Signature Dish: 4 of a Kind, held at Cap Aureo Restaurant in Rovinj, our doctoral student Zorica Bocić has once again demonstrated that knowledge becomes most valuable when applied inclusively – in real-world settings, through collaboration, and in service of community and culture.

The event, led by acclaimed chef Jeffrey James Vella, redefined contemporary luxury through sustainability, local heritage, and culinary storytelling. This innovative approach was internationally recognized with two Silver Eventex Awards 2025, in the categories Gala Event and Experiential Event, competing among more than 1200 entries from 59 countries.

At Doba Faculty, we believe that education reaches its highest purpose when theory meets thoughtful practice. We are proud that our doctoral student helped bring this vision to life – with passion, creativity, and a commitment to values that endure.
