At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we continuously enhance our master programmes by involving guest lecturers from the international environment and professional practice. In February 2026, students attended guest lectures delivered by experts from Austria and Norway, who brought up-to-date content, international perspectives and valuable experience from the business and professional environment into the study process.
Among the highlighted contributions were lectures by Dr Stefan Lazarevski from Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics GmbH in Vienna, who presented examples of service innovation and the development of innovations for foreign markets. The particular added value of his visit lies in the fact that Dr Lazarevski is one of our doctoral graduates, having completed his doctoral studies at DOBA University of Applied Sciences. This further confirms that we involve successful professionals who build their careers in an international environment and at the same time advance them within an academic career.
Students also attended a lecture by Aleksandra Zajc, MSc, Head of Research and Development at Mlekarna Celeia, who presented the stages of developing a new product – from idea to launch on a foreign market. In the field of coaching, a lecture was delivered by Christine Julia Feehan, an internationally recognised ICF coach and sports coach from Oslo, who presented three ways in which coaching impacts organisations: individual, peer and group coaching. From the field of psychology, Dr Nina Dalkner from Medical University Graz delivered a lecture on stress and resilience, while Katarina Klemenc, MSc highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in modern organisations.
Such lectures represent significant added value for the master programmes at DOBA University of Applied Sciences, as they provide students with direct contact with current practical challenges, insight into the international business environment, and opportunities to connect theoretical knowledge with real-life examples from companies and institutions. In this way, we strengthen the practical relevance of our programmes, broaden students’ perspectives, and reinforce the international and applied orientation of our master programmes.
