Graduate in Marketing – Expert in Contemporary Market Challenges

15. september 2025

Modern companies today face the challenge of how to effectively integrate marketing, social media, and public relations into a comprehensive communication strategy. A marketing graduate is the one who, with fresh knowledge and a practical approach, helps to design market-oriented solutions – from running campaigns and managing social networks to building long-term relationships with target audiences. With these skills, they actively contribute to creating a company’s competitive advantage, strengthening brand recognition, and supporting sales objectives.

A Study Programme Focused on Practice and Skills Development

The Marketing, Social Media and Public Relations programme is built on three modern thematic pillars: marketing, social media, and public relations. Designed in line with market needs, it provides comprehensive professional knowledge that enables graduates to independently plan and carry out marketing and communication activities. A particular advantage of the programme is the strong link between theory and practice, allowing students – and later graduates – to apply their knowledge immediately and integrate quickly into the workplace. During their studies, students develop their competences through:

  • working on real projects for companies,
  • practical tasks in real-world settings,
  • engagement with guest practitioners,
  • the use of modern digital tools and analytical approaches.

Among the projects and applied assignments carried out, the following stand out:

  • linking sponsored partners with brand values for Lumar IG,
  • analysing the product life cycle stage, identifying brand characteristics, profiling the typical customer, and developing consumer communication for Desserts, Mlekarna Celeia,
  • preparing a Media Communication Manual for clients such as SURS, Ljubljanske mlekarne d.o.o., INA d.d., and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia,
  • creating a pitch presentation of a social media and marketing strategy for the brand Comma,
  • planning an advertising campaign for the brand Lasta, as well as many other projects and assignments completed in cooperation with companies.

In 2025, guest lecturers shared their best practices with students, including:

  • Tanja Rihtaršič, Head of Sales at Violeta
  • Aleksandra Zajc, Head of Development and Technology at Mlekarna Celeia
  • Kristijan Gregorić, Partner at the research company Valicon
  • Živa Deu, Digital Strategy Manager at Atlantic Grupa
  • Lidija Rakuša, Marketing Director at SPAR Slovenija
  • Boštjan Kralj,Head of Marketing Communications at Lumar IG in drugi ugledni posamezniki.

The undergraduate programme Marketing, Social Media and Public Relations has already been successfully completed by 1,071 graduates – ambitious individuals who are today pushing boundaries in marketing departments, agencies, start-ups, and international corporations. Their stories do not begin only after graduation: already during their studies they co-created real projects for real clients and, through internships, gained opportunities for a successful career.
