Student habits, study approaches, and the content of higher education are changing every day. In recent years, there has been a significant rise in interest in visually rich learning materials, particularly in the creation and use of videos for educational purposes.
This article presents the activities and outcomes related to the development of multimedia and interactive learning materials at DOBA Faculty. Our findings show that students view short videos as a preferred learning resource that is important for achieving educational goals, both at lower and higher cognitive levels.
Among the most valued video characteristics, students highlighted those connected to the video's integration into the learning process: a clear purpose, alignment with the course content, and relevance to study activities. They also highly appreciated that the videos are short, presented in their native language, and encourage interactivity. Interestingly, seeing the lecturer's image was rated as the least important feature.
