Participation in the EDULEARN17 Conference

DOBA Business School teacher, Assistant Professor Dr Marko Divjak, attended the 9th annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies EDULEARN17.

The conference was held from 3 to 5 July 2017 in Barcelona. EDULEARN (Empowering Learners in a Digital World) is one of the largest international education conferences for lecturers, researchers, technologists and professionals from the educational sector, focusing on exchange of experience in new learning/teaching methods and innovation in education. The conference brought together more than 850 participants from over 80 countries.

At the conference, Dr Divjak presented his paper on the applicability of MOOCs in the development of transferable skills. The paper presented the experience of DOBA Business School in the development and implementation of MOOCs on the development of teamwork competences in the context of the DESTINY project (http://destiny-eu.net/).

“The paper was well received and drew a lot of attention, which confirms that this is an innovative approach to developing MOOCs. The participation at the conference was an excellent opportunity for networking, for the exchange of experiences and for learning about new findings and discoveries, especially in e-learning, development of 21st century competences, knowledge assessment and quality in higher education. I am convinced that some of these findings will in the future also be effectively implemented in the DOBA Business School online learning model, thus even further improving the quality of the teaching process”, said Dr Divjak.
